Writing Asia: The Literature in Englishes Volume 1 - From the Inside (Asia-Pacific Literatures in Englishes). Essays from the National University of Singapore's Asia Pacific Symposia have been published for 25 years and this volume from the 2007 event starts a new series on inside looks at the rooted Englishness of the Asia-Pacific Region. The 45 exploratory papers are devoted to written works concerned with: the language and territory of Asian Englishness; the Philippines; Malaysia/Singapore; crossing cultures and experiences from China/Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, Vietnam; and the neighbouring countries of India, Australia and New Zealand.
