It tells how the Friends Restaurant in central Phnom Penh has survived and extended since the 1994 tentative efforts of a group of foreigners to train street children for a more positive way of life. The 45 illustrated recipes are for the most popular dishes served at the now-thriving international restaurant. The children's paintings enrich the book as well as the restaurant itself. Profits will be ploughed back into "Friends" enterprises in Cambodia.
