A carefully-researched account of the military trial and June 1951 execution of Lt - General Tukuma Nishimura, the most significant Japanese officer prosecuted by the Australian authorities after World War II. Official and other documents now available reveal the deliberate falsifications and unrestrained vengefulness which overcame justice. The underlying causes of shameful and now largely forgotten events are also considered.
