Cyril Wong's longest and only Zen-inspired poem to date, Satori Blues is a response to writings by teachers of Buddhism and post-Buddhist philosophies. Composed as a stream of light - at times epigrammatic, philosophical, fragmented, even exclamatory - the poem becomes a concerted movement within a space of mediation, as well as a sustained, psychological record of yearning towards spiritual truth and clarity.
