Volume 7 of the Studies in Singapore Literature series is devoted to the writings and place in Singapore's literary identity of the poet, writer, teacher, and politico-literary critic, Professor Emeritus Edwin Thumboo (b. 1933). A 1978 interview of Thumboo and the author Professor Peter Nazareth is included. A wide range of literary ideas and canons is brought into the discussion of Thumboo's thought and poetry.
