The first volume details the provenance, design and activities of Indonesian sailing ships and is enriched by black and white drawings which evidence their beauty and versatility. With photographs and sketches meticulously done by the author, and accompanied by maps, glossary, documentation and other listings. The second volume contains 380 colour photographs of the ships and the sailing communities. The photographs themselves explain the author/photographer's passion for his subject.
