This clearly-presented study relates factors in the education and development of East Asian countries to the situation and needs of Bangladesh. Salient features of national systems are outlined and compared. The present educational pattern and particular needs of Bangladesh are clearly set out. Pointers for action and long term development are supported with tabulated data.
