For three decades, the author has been studying the history over the last century of the ethnic Chinese in Indonesia.  This volume brings together a selection of his work on their legal position, human rights, reverse migration to China and Hong Kong, Confucian religion, literature in Malay, and reflections on Chinese Indonesians as an object of study.
