The Politics of Anti-Westernism in Asia: Visions of World Order in Pan-Islamic and Pan-Asian Thought. Doctoral research underpins this often-innovative study of Asian anti-Western ideas including the nature and extent of Ottoman and Japanese anti-Western critiques, among the many subject explored. Ottoman Pan-Islamism and Japanese Pan-Asian ideas and aims are discussed and compared and related to World War I and World War II events and to the development of secular anti-colonialism.
