Elsie Tu, formerly Elliot, nee Hume (b.1913) is widely known as a doughty social activist and educationalist in HongKong. This is her account of her life from childhood in Newcastle - on - Tyne, UK, to marriage with a mussionary of a furdamentalist Christian group, life educational work in Hong Kong from 1948, and later return to HongKong alone. She tells of her subsequent work in local education and in social/ reform xxxx for which she eventually gained xxx xxxx acclaim. The first three chapters are by Andrew Tu (1921-2001) Elsie's colleague and from 1985 her second husband. Andrew tells of his early life in Inner Mangolia and 1950 arrival in HongKong as a refugee.
