Pilpay's Fables were first translated by Sir Richard Burton in 1847. The origins of Pilpay's Fables are lost in the mists of early Indian history. A series of morality tales presented through the exploits of a group of animal acquaintances and the humans they encounter, the tales are charming in style and contain timeless wisdom.
