'Dignity Overdue' was the slogan adopted by the "The Working Committee 2" (TWC2) to sum up its aims in campaigning on the issue of the position of foreign domestic workers in Singapore. This book begins by examining their status and experiences and also considers the impact their employment is having on the host society's values and outlook. It goes on to tell the story of TWC2's formation, its activities and the challenges it faced. 'Dignity Overdue' is a record of the experiences of one civil society organisation in Singapore that set out to help change attitudes and practices governing the relationship between employers, agencies and domestic workers.
