The June 2010 34th issue of Asian Culture, the journal of the Singapore Society of Asian Studies presents ten articles on a wide variety of subjects. Among them are explorations of: the 1693 Bell Affair which involved trade between Hue and Canton; Chinese People's Republic of China immigration in New Zealand; Malay/Indonesian translations of past and present Chinese literature; a case study of Han Chiang High School, Malaysia; a 1912 Chinese power struggle in Penang; and a study of the Diplomat and Islamic-Preacher Ibrahim Ma Tianying (1900-1982). Four articles are in English and six are in Chinese.
