This is an illustrated account of an unusual architectural project in Singapore. Six separate architectural firms were commissioned to build six separate but unfenced houses in the grounds of a patriarchal home. Details are given of the architects' approaches and plans. Photographs and drawings show the final buildings, which seem to meet the desired aims of promoting unity and diversity.
