About This Book
This 2009 book, published in Dutch in 2006, is a concerned activist's account of the situation of street elephants in Thailand and the establishment of the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand, North of Chiang Mai. This Park and the needed associated tree-planting efforts are shown to face immense problems as they work independently along with some of the official and religious authorities to establish a sustainable way of life for the declining and suffering elephant population. With colour photographs and bibliography.
