These eleven personal memoirs/stories were originally part of a TV programme made in association with the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum, Bristol. The narrators are of different ethnicities and backgound and all have linkages and experiences with some area of the British Commonwealth. They speak informally and often shed unexpected light onto near forgotten aspects of recent history.
