Confucian Tradition & Global Education
by De Bary, Wm. Theodore
About This Book
The 2005 Tang Chun-I lectures of the Chinese University of Hong Kong explore many ways in which the teachings of Confucius could usefully be incorporated in the schools and colleges of the contemporary globalised world. Two scholars from the University's Department of Philosophy offer tentative study outlines and new approaches, which, despite the profoundly different cultural and linguistic concepts of much of modern society, could make Confucianism a stable and healing factor in the world.
