Saving Fish From Drowning: A Novel
by Tan, Amy
About This Book
Twelve Americans on a art expedition set out from the Himalayan foothills of China and head towards the jungles of Burma. Their tour leader dies and they are left to fend for themselves. Slowly the group falls apart, before they all disappear as they take a cruise across a misty lake on Christmas morning.
The author's novelisation of this incident is inspired by a dead woman's account, through a medium, of the disappearance of the eleven tourists. Readers will recognise the current political situation in Burma in the story. They will also be asking themselves how to tell truth from falsehood in this funny and provocative novel.
