This book is designed to demystify Asian values in journalism by addressing nine questions regarding their contexts, evolution, features, limitations, contributions and implications through documentary research and historical-comparative analysis.
The main findings indicate that Asian values in journalism reflected efforts to construct Asian press models and to chart directions and dimensions for the press development in Asia although it was conceptually elusive and theoretically confusing. It is also found that Asian values are not purely Asian but share journalism traditions.
